Vertical Flame Propagation

SPECIFICATIONS:

The MarlinEngineering, Inc ME2300 Vertical Flame Propagation Chamber is designed for conducting tests in accordance with the FAA's “Vertical Flame Propagation Test Apparatus” Document.  The chamber has a fixed internal volume (22" x 16" x 22") in which plane specimens can be subjected to a constant radiant heat source provided by an electric furnace.  A gas/air ribbon burner impinges the lower edge of the sample initiating sample combustion.

ME2300 Features:

  • Coil type tubular radiant heater
  • Ribbon Burner with pneumatic operation.
  • Electronic ignition system.
  • Calibrated gas and air mass flow controllers.
  • Software controlled heater power and automatic burner operation during test.
  • Rear mount Camera with visual data acquisition software.
  • Standard rectangle samples, wire, and heat shrink.
  • Stainless steel interior shell.
